This had to be one of the most epic Ismaili weddings we have seen. The state of Texas is all about cowboy hats and cowboy boots. If you mix that with an Indian wedding bride wearing a Saree for her Nikkah Ceremony then that makes a very interesting wedding portrait. Those wedding pictures alone can be a dream come true for an Indian wedding photographer in Dallas looking to capture a unique style of wedding photography.
Despite of battling the scorching heat in Dallas, Texas that weekend, we still ended up getting some amazing wedding portraits of Saima and Farhaan. We started our day with capturing Saima as she was getting ready for her Ismaili Wedding Nikkah ceremonies at Mid Cities Jamatkhana in Dallas, Texas. Before the start of the nikkah, we ended up going to downtown Grapevine for their wedding couple portraits. This was the perfect setting to capture an Ismaili wedding bride and groom showcasing the beauty of Texas. Thereafter, we had the Nikkah in Jamatkhana followed by khoba khobi ceremonies. Khoba Khobi ceremonies are an integral part of any Ismaili Wedding. The ceremony symbolizes the first time an Indian wedding bride and groom enter their house. At the house, they are welcomed by their mother who showers them with rice. Thereafter, the Ismaili wedding couple play a light hearted game of finding the coin in a big bowl of rice. The saying is that the one who finds the coin the most times dominates the relationship.
Followed by the Khoba Khobi ceremonies, we had the wedding reception at the beautiful Hilton Of Dallas / South Lake Town Center. The Indian wedding reception was a lot of fun to capture. We had plenty of amazing candid wedding photographs of the families enjoying the wedding speeches, dinner, and performances. The wedding reception ended with the families dancing the night away.
We hope you enjoy the wedding images posted below and as always we always appreciate your continuing support in our wedding photography in Dallas and Atlanta. Thank You!
